Horizon Trailers, the Dublin-based company, is partnering with Kögel Trailer GmbH to exclusively distribute Kögel’s premium trailers in Ireland and the UK.
The two companies aim to establish the Kögel brand in these key markets while developing a robust sales and service network.
As part of its strategic plan to expand across Europe, Kögel Trailer GmbH has been actively positioning itself in the Irish and British markets.
Following a thorough market analysis and successful pilot orders, Horizon Trailers pursued an exclusive sales partnership with Kögel, formalised through a contractual agreement in 2024.
Despite its recent founding, Horizon Trailers brings decades of expertise in commercial vehicles to the collaboration.
Experienced Team with Ambitious Goals
The team at Horizon Trailers comprises seasoned professionals from the transportation industry with proven expertise in sales, finance and business development. Working closely with Kögel, Horizon Trailers aims to achieve significant milestones, including sustainable growth in both the new vehicle and aftermarket segments. Within the medium term, the partnership targets capturing a market share of at least 10 per cent in Ireland and the UK.
To achieve this, Horizon Trailers plans to establish a comprehensive dealer and service network, ensuring optimal customer support. The partnership will focus on key sectors such as international and domestic freight, pharmaceuticals, agricultural, and food logistics. The product portfolio includes Kögel’s refrigerated, box, and curtainsider trailers. While the initial market entry will centre on Ireland, efforts in the UK will proceed simultaneously.
