FTA Ireland is taking its EU Manifesto and Decarbonising Road Freight report to Europe.
FTA Ireland CEO, Aidan Flynn and Des Phelan, chair of the FTA Ireland Freight Council had a busy couple of days in Brussels.
“We had the pleasure of meeting Ireland’s representative on the EU Transport Committee Nina Carberry. We presented Nina with our EU Manifesto and Decarbonising Road Freight Report.” Aidan Flynn commented.
He aded: “Key priorities for our members during this parliament is to focus on unique challenges for Ireland in Decarbonising freight, distribution and the logistics sector, developing clarity around qualifications required to carry out energy audits, safe and secure borders, making road safety a priority with a focus on consistent and fair enforcement around Europe as well as focusing on the Skills Shortage issues,” he added.
“There’s much to consider but the key to delivering for Ireland is a collaborative approach and we look forward to working with Nina on her important work at the EU Transport Committee over the coming years,” he concluded.
