Mercedes-Benz approach towards e-mobility was recognised at the rFleet Transport Awards 2024 when the all-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 /400 truck was honoured with the Irish Green Commercial of the Year Electric Trucks (Medium-Duty) award.
Bestowed on foot of votes cast by an adjudication panel of jury members who tested each electric-powered truck over a three day period, the announcement and presentation of the award was made at a gala banquet at the Johnstown Estate Hotel, Enfield which celebrated best practice in Ireland’s road transport operations and services sectors.
Accepting the accolade, Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles sales manager in Ireland, Fergus Conheady expressed gratitude to the sponsors and the organisers of the event adding: “This prestigious award is further recognition of the work being done by Mercedes-Benz to maintain its position as a leading innovator in the field of heavy commercial vehicle development”.
