ZEHDV Purchase Grant Scheme expanded

0

The Zero Emission Heavy Duty Vehicle (ZEHDV) Purchase Grant Scheme had been expanded to now include purchase grants for charging infrastructure.

The present scheme promotes the decarbonisation of the freight sector by offering grants for the purchase of heavy duty vehicles that are alternatively-fuelled, exceed applicable European Union environmental standards, and would not otherwise have been purchased.

The scheme expansion means successful applicants will be able to install their own depot charging points, and also facilitates public charging around logistics hubs, and in urban nodes.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland will administer the extended scheme as part of the existing ZEHDV Purchase Grant Scheme, which was opened on 1 November of this year for 2025 applications.

The Audit will be administered by SEAI. It will benefit businesses by offering them an assessment by an independent energy advisor, who would provide guidance on the transition to zero emission vehicles.
