Up to 20 per cent of hauliers unlicensed - Rock

Up to 20 per cent of hire for reward HGV operators working in Ireland are unlicensed, it has been revealed. Garda Assistant Commissioner Eddie Rock, who heads up the Traffic Corps says there a significant number of operators are not registered or licensed.

The Assistant Commissioner has been advised that between six and 20 per cent of heavy goods contractors are not compliant with the road transport regulations.
